GPS attendance tracking with geofencing
MyPeople 360 can check where a punch happened against the location of your office or site. In the interactive demo, a punch asks your browser for your location and tests it against a geofence.
How the geofence check works
A geofence is a circle around an office or site. When someone punches in, the system captures their location at that moment and tests whether it is inside the circle. The demo shows both outcomes.
Location at the moment of the punch only
Location is read when a person punches, not tracked through the day. The browser asks for permission first, and the person can refuse.
One attendance record
A web or mobile punch lands in the same attendance record as other methods, so timesheets and payroll read from one place.
What is not in the demo yet
The demo uses your browser’s location on a web page. A dedicated mobile app and background location are not part of what we are showing today.
Why a geofence helps
Teams that work across sites, client locations or hybrid schedules often need more than a clock-in time. A geofence check adds one more fact to the record: whether the punch was made near the expected place. A punch outside the circle is flagged for HR rather than blocked, so a genuine exception, such as a client visit, can still be reviewed and regularised.

Frequently asked questions
Does GPS tracking follow employees all day?
No. Location is captured only at the moment of the punch, after the browser asks permission.
